Go to: PA Department of Revenue E-Services Center


Click on Individuals


Click on Access My Personal Income Tax Account

Register as a Taxpayer

The first time you visit the Personal Income Tax e-Services Center, you need to verify your identity, using
one of three methods. If you do not already have an e-Signature, you will need
to obtain a User ID and password before you can begin using the Personal Income
Tax e-Services.

Step 1:    Click on the Register button from the Login screen.

Step 2:    On the e-Signature Agreement screen, you will need to agree by clicking the “I Agree”button.

Step 3:    On the next screen, type the word appearing in the picture in the box. Then scroll down and create a User ID andPassword. Write your user ID and password down so you don’t forget it later. Click Submit.

Step 4:    On the Registration Selection screen, select “Taxpayer Registration” and click on the Continue button. 

Step 5:    On the next page, provide your SSN, name, address, etc.  Also, please provide your mother’s maiden name and your city ofbirth.  This information will be used to prove your identity should you forget your User ID or Password.  

Step 6:    On the Individual Verification screen, you will be required to validate your identity by using one of three methods.  Provide the appropriate information and click on the Submit button.  The three methods are as follows. 

  • Your Social Security Number (SSN) and last year’s Personal Income Tax liability.  If verified, you will
    be approved immediately and will not need to sign a signature form.

  • Social Security Number, PA Drivers License Number and date of birth.   If verified, you will be approved immediately and will not have to sign a signature form.
  • Complete an Electronic Signature Application and mail/fax to the Department for processing.
    This may take up to 48 hours for approval.

Step 7:    The next screen will say, “Account Successfully Created!” Click on the Login button to access the e Services Center for Personal Income Tax.

CAUTION:  Set up payments as they come due.  PA payments cannot be adjusted once they are set up.
